A trailblazing set of the absolute best acts we could think of in London will be playing at 93 Feet East this coming January. We've put in the hard work to find an awesome line-up of the best new bands around so you just need to turn up and bathe in their artistic glory... or something like that.
Very pleased to announce the night will be headlined by London's finest purveyors of psychedelic harmonies The Wharves.
Hailing from Ireland, France and England THE WHARVES sport startling duel vocals, courtesy of Gemma Fleet (bass) and Dearbhla Minogue (guitar), which hang gracefully over their minimal rock format. They invoke the reverberated spook of 60′s girl groups, the mid-fi guitar crunch of Kim Deal’s The Amps, the vocal flavours of The Roches and the narrative and structural panache of 70's progressive folk. Marion Andrau’s thunderous drumming drives through these compositions, ensuring the wealth of disparate influences remain focused and celebratory.
Support comes from Big Sister. NME say they are a «dreamy concoction of pulsating, baggy, wah-wahs». We say have a listen to them they are loud and awesome!
